Recovery

Friday,

I am recovering from anything and everything. Today I done a week here at a beach spot called Hikkaduwa, on the southcoats of Sri Lanka, and I wanna stay more. So badly wanna stay longer! Don't worry folk, I am perfectley fine!

Last day with class

Thursday,
Today was my last day of classes for this semester. I know it is insane how fast time goes! It is also insane how the University gives us one week of revision and then three weeks to spread our final exams on. However, I am heading out for Sri Lanka tonight and will spend the "revision-week" on the beach recovering from my cold and glance through my textbook.

A familiar face in Bangkok

Tuesday,
Have had an amazing weekend in Bangkok with great people, fun meetings with new friends, temples, condoms restaurant and a private show by a rock-star. However, what astonished me most during the weekend was my suddenly meeting with "Sweden". I am walking on one of the "Backpack-streets" in Bangkok and a familiar face from my hometown Hemsjö passes me. I call out loud and believe it or not but there is Daniel Olovson!? What a coincidence!

22 h train

Wednesday,
I am heading out for Bangkok tomorrow and will do so by taking the train from Butterworth, all the way through Thailand, and end up in Bangkok, hopefully. A trip on 22 h, hopefully. So right now I am reading the news about the train-accident that happened last Monday in Thailand. I am trying to convince myself that the best time to travel is right after an accident when everybody are as most careful, hopefully...

Adventure-guide

Monday night,
Ever heard about an exciting jungle-hike, a secret waterfall and amazing view? Well, I took these girls on one of these one at life-time experiences but the only thing they might remember is the vampires and love-stories in the Twilight-saga... Anyhow, I got to try how it is to be an adventure-guide and can now add on another dream-job to my long list!

Hari Raya

Sunday 09.27 am,
Yesterday I got invited for Hari Raya celebration at a friends house and I brought two of my Swedish friends. They got the best Malayu-experiance ever as well as I. Thanks Qyla!

Swedish visitor

I met two friends at the airport in Penang today. Anna and Petra. I had them to try Asam Laksa, take buses with me, wander around in the mall at Komtar, walk to little India, eat at a Indian place and so on... They just came from a almost 24 h travel from Sweden. They looked at me with big eyes when I prepared soup out from a plastic bag, walked over the highway without crossing, ate with my hand and some other stuff...
I hope some sleep will do them good so they can wake up tomorrow and see this new world with the eyes it deserves.

Indian lullabies

Monday,
I plan to hit the bed now but there are Indian music playing over Penang and it sounds like it's right in my bedroom, which it's not. Someone told me there is a Indian holiday coming up and a festival on the 17th of October. Should I go out and tell them there is two week until then?

Let's get together

Sunday, 06.06 pm,
For you who thought my last "outfit"-picture looked like me wearing a pyjamas: it was not! The dress is a traditional Malaysian costume and I wore it to an event at the Uni called "Let's get together". I felt like a princess the whole night.

"Todays outfit"

Saturday 03.15pm,
I have seen it is popular to put up "todays outfit" on your blog so here comes mine:

Prayers

For a couple of weeks ago I got the chance to take some photos while my friends did their prayers in their room:

In the elevator

Friday, 3.15 pm,
When I step in to the elevator a Chinese-man says to me:
Chinese: Did you felt how the building was shaking this night?
Me: No! Was it?
Chinese: Yes, I heard from many people that there were a earthquake because of the tsunami. One tonight and another bigger one the other night.
Me: Oh, I guess I sleep to hard.
Chinese: Yes, me too. I didn't felt anything either.
Me: Ok, good-bye.
Chinese: Good-bye

If we could read each others mind and be unable to speak any language would it make life easier?
