Lucky me
AirAsia have had 48 h sale the latest 2 days and since Penang welcomed me with rain on my arrival from the Philippines have I know bought some bargains. First up is a weekend in Bangkok, plan to take a train up through Thailand and then use my new invested flight ticket home. After this little trip I need something longer and booked therefore a 12 days trip to Sri Lanka.
Now I put my travel itineraries on my desktop so I can glance at them when ever I study. By doing so I also thinking of how lucky I am to be able to book some days of vacation without thinking twice about time or money. Want to keep this moment.
Survived the tropical storm Ketsana
Tuesday 11.52, Penang
2009 September
I have a new experience to add on my resumé, the tropical storm called Ketsana. I am thinking of write something like this:
Life experiences
2009 September
Saturday 26th of September did I survive the tropical storm Ketsana that engulfed Manila City in the Philippines. Thanks to my personal skills such as careful, self-discipline and ability to recognise the relevant fact in the situation am I now still alive.
Sends my blessing to the people that suffers in the Philippines and thinking about how small we all are in this world.
This is how we do it in Malaysia

"... And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread (of night). Then complete the fast until the night (i.e., sunset). ..." - Juz'2.187.
I am breaking fast with some friends and some lovely "blue rice", together with my hand. Just as we all eat in Malaysia.
Learn from Malaysia
Tisdag 04.21 pm,
The Malaysian toilets do not have toilet paper. Here we use a shower to clean ourselves.
The usage of such a simple thing as water saves a lot. But let's see what it could save in Sweden:
In the year 2008 the retail volume of toilet paper in Sweden reached 52 200 tonnes. With a population of 9 179 300 people this ends up in 5.68 kilogram of toilet paper per person. The retail value for this toilet paper is 1 604.9 million SEK. Numbers that the Malaysian people don't have to worry about.
Think about how much money and trees we could save with the usage of a shower?
However, the economic law says that all incomes always have to be spend and the producer of paper would probably found another market. So I have another idea for the usage of our saved paper and money:
The estimated growth rate of Swedish full-time students in year 2009 is 14 300. So these are 14 300 more students that will need notebooks at school start this month. As we all know, increase in demand meets increase in supply. So if we estimate the average retail price of a notebook to 25 SEK the new students could by from 64.196 millions new notebooks from the retail value of total toilet papers. Of course this requires the retailers to stop sell toilet paper and shift to notebooks.
Good luck with you toilet paper and your studies Sweden!
Ramadhan
"The month of Ramadhan (is that) in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights (the new moon of) the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and (wants) for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that (to) which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful." - The Qur'an Juz'2.185
A girl named Hung

To the left in this picture is a girl called Hung.
Hung works in a guest-house in Hanoi, Vietnamn.
She been doing so the last year for every week, every day, and all day long.
At night she sleeps in a couch next to the front desk to be able to help guests inside in the middle of the night. She tells me she can get a free saturday or sunday but only if she has school to go to these days. She says she is very lucky since they let her stay for free in the guest-house. She has nowhere else to live in Hanoi.
