"Man ska ha husvagn... tral.. trallala..."
I, Rebecka, have now done 1076 km from Adelaide to Melbourne in a bushcamper. A road through rainforests, farmland and spectacular coastline. We slept in the camper next to cliff-formation and wild parrots (that also joined us for breakfast but that's another story).
Then I did another 800 km in a 4-bed motor home (husbil, precis sadan som ni har mor & far!) from Melbourne over the ferry to Hobart in Tasmania. A windy road through small towns and old national parks.
In Hobart are where we now are situated in the home of Leesa and her family just on the east-shore. We have had a wonderful dinner with Leesa and her son Peter and are now looking forward for a good night sleep. And I look forward to a day without driving tomorrow!
Stinking hot and stanbyrelocs
The last two days we have had around 30-35C and lots of sun. This is the first taste of the summer heat and we will most likely experience 40C before we leave Austalia. The heat have resulted in less hours of helping Adrian with work and more hours of hanging out at the beach :) Yesterday we cleaned all our squid and cuttlefish at the beach and had a feast on them the same night, YUMMIE!
We also want to notify our readers that we have got two great deals of campervans and will be on the road for the next 7 days. This little trip would of course mean that we can't update anything on the blog. More details about our greats deals:
24th - 26th of Nov
Campervan pick-up: Adelaide - drop-off: Melbourne.
5$/day = 15$ (ca 100 sek)
60$ covered expenses as for fuel, cooking equitment etc.
27th - 30th of Nov
Campervan pick-up: Melbourne - drop-off: Hobart.

These deals are all thanks to standbyrelocs.com.au, so thanks to them!
So we will not upload anything on the blog during this time but will hopefully get over some Internet in Hobart in beginning of Dec. We do have our cellphone with us but we might have limited recpetion out in the bushes.
So simply: DON'T WORRY, WE ARE LIVING THE DREAM!

Christmas Parade
Ok, I have tried to upload a few photos from yesterday's highlight; the christmas parade, but it didn't work. So you have to do without... Anyway, it was a great parade and about millions of children and of course ME.
We will soon get a lift down to Willunga with a couchsurfer-friend, Jess. Thank you! And down in Willunga we are meeting our next hosts for the week.
Till Far
Thursday the 10th, 8.30 am.
We visited the South Australian Museum in Adelaide yesterday and I paid to watch an nature photography exhibition. First time ever I had paid to see nature photography. But I am glad I did.

Miss Bigfoot
The train-trip have left me an obvious mark in form of a swollen foot! I am not in pain though. Actually I didn't noticed it until a couples of hours after our arrival to Adelaide while I sat down on a park bench and happen to look down on my feet. The right one was significantly bigger then the left. It is something I always feared on flights and now I got it from a bloody train-trip!? I feel like a old granny...
By the way, we are sleeping a few nights at a "couchsurfing-couple", Andy & Carla, in the suburbs by the beach. And yes they have a shower that we both used by now.
Across the Nullarbor with indian pacific
So our plans about getting a lift across the Nullarbor vanished quickly when we found out about the train that goes once a week. We got this information Sunday morning and the train depatured the same night so we quickly had to take the bus from Esperance to Kalgoorlie where we got a good deal with the train staff.
So we have now just arrived in Adelaide after spending 31 hours on the indian pacific train! We need a shower...
