Shark encounter
Here is a group-photo of us and our latest hosts, Barry and Shelley, taken before we left them yesterday morning. But before we left them did Barry took us for a fishing-trip on Friday, Richard & Barry catch fishes while I found a shark! A blue shark that a fisherman draught up on the beach. We first thought it was dead, so we kicked it, felt on it and so on, until the fisherman came and said it still lived!
Yesterday gave Shelley us a lift into Albany where Deb & Rob lives, our hosts for the weekend. They took us around for BBQ at the beach today and around to the tourists spots around the area. One of those spots are this natural bridge:
Can you see us in the middle?
Ooh, Rob bought a new little pretty car to play with and got the chance to take a ride in it earlier today! It is a Triumph TA4 from 1962.

Vineyard
The adventure continues... We made it to Albany Monday morning but only for a couple of hours. We just couldn't say no when a couple that runs a vineyard 40 km north of Albany called and gave us the opportunity to stay with them this week. They picked us up the same evening. So today we done some work in the vineyard and now in the afternoon labelled some bottles of port together with a glass of it. You have to taste what you working with!
Great hospitality, amazing house, wonderful food and tasteful wine of all sorts, what more could you ask for?
Location: Jingalla Wines in Porongurup.
Wildlife
Allright, since some of you are asking for photos, I reckon it's time to upload some... Here are some with Richard and his new little fellows:

A Magpie gets some miced meat from Richard's arm. It actually sits on his arm.

Cuttle-time!

Here he got the whole gang, it's a dog, an emu and a joey (kangaroo-baby)!

Some of me and a little one, and also one from todays reptile-spotting:

I saw 2 sneaks but both Richard and John missed them so they wouldn't believe me... Anyway we all saw one guana and the lizard you see above! So a pretty good the in the bushes! Take care and see you out there!
By the way, we are heading to Albany tomorrow.
Adventures
The plan this morning was to get out of Bunbury and hitch-hike our way down to Albany, which is a trip of about 370 km. We got a great plan written on a piece of paper from our hosts in Bunbury and it started off really good. We got our first lift in about 5 min and it went on that lucky for another four cars. In total we probably did about 180 km through those cars. Lots of interesting people, especially the last man that turned 88 today and got us some beer in the backseat when he filled the tank and took us passed his house and further than promised!
Anyhow, when we got to the highway, where the traffic was heavy, did noone stoped. We stood there in about an hour until a man drove up and said he couldn't take us to Albany but to his wildlife sacutary where we could get a bed and food if we helped him to bottle-feed some kangaroos. Well, of course we wanted too! So now had we fed 8 kangaroo-babys to times and also wiped their bumps! True adventures...
Paradise
At the moment, we are in Bunbury and getting treated by the greatest of Australian hospitality by a local couple, Jose and Linda, that we got in contact with through CouchSurfing.org. Jose got this "little project" of his, he is building a second house on his property. A house that is almost finished with two amazing terraces, one for sunrise and one for sunset, and we got the house for our own!!! Amazing!
Earlier today, Linda took us by car to watch kangaroos and dolphins. We saw a couple of dolphins playing in the waves and I even saw them jump and splash down on the side!
Simply the paradise!

AirAsia - lovestory or not?
Dear folks,
In order to avoid all the hassle of getting the distance Penang - Kuala Lumpur with buses did we booked a flight for our way back. Well, it didn't turned out as planned!
Yesterday morning, in Penang, did we though we where lucky to have a flight since Richard got sick. He laid in bed until the taxi picked us up and took us to the airport around 1pm. Well, there did we checked-in, walked to our gate and entered the aircraft, but then the waiting started. The waiting that never seemed to end. The staff confirmed that the aircraft had technical problems and all passengers had to wait in the gate instead. We waited at the gate for about 11 hours until a new aircraft arrived at around 00.45 am and finally took us to Kuala Lumpur at 02.10 am. This far into the story had AirAsia fallen far down our personals scale of preferences when it comes to flight-companies, but it would soon change!
When we waited for our luggage in KL did one of the AirAsia-staff approach us and asked if we missed our flight to Australia. Very correct, we had! So this man gave us a letter that approved that AirAsia would pay for our transportation, hotel and meals until the next flight to Perth (which the man already booked us on) and then he sat us in a van that drove us to a hotel where I now am. We got a good bed, showers and better up: an amazing lunch-buffé for breakfast! (since we arrived at 3am this night where we late up this morning) Poor Richard couldn't enjoy all food since he's still worried for his stomach but I ate as I never ate before! Mmmmmm!
Now am I sitting in the hotel's lobby and waiting for the restaurant to serve the dinner :D Richard is sleeping again but he is far better now then yesterday so he will be just fine!
Here is some pictures from our day with Qyla and Ain:
We visited Yaya at her archaeological site in Kedah. :)
New departure to Perth is: 11.50 pm today! Wish us good luck!
Farewell Penang, again
We got a couple of intense days here on Penang with many nice meetings with friends and of course a lot of great food! Though, Richard might have got a little bit too much of the good food since he today feeling sick. Good for him then that we today leave Malaysia for Australia and to be more exact: Perth!
Since this is first time for me travelling with someone else had I already found out some pros & cons of being two:
Neg: You have to take care of the other when that one gets sick which means you can't do that much else.
Pos: Someone can take care of you when you gets sick! :)
Selemat datang ke Malaysia
1,5 h bus London-Stansted, 12 h flight Stansted-Kuala Lumpur, 1 h bus KL airport-KL city, 20 min train KL city-Bukat Jilian, 5 h bus Bukat Jilian-Penang, 15 min Taxi Penang station-Georgetown!
Finally in Georgetown this very early morning and we already made a big tour around the city by foot and met up Aqyla very fast for lunch after our own lunch! And yes, we are now heading for food again!
Engineers!?
Start to wonder why London's underground closes around midnight every single night, even weekends!? It is the gateway to Europe but the public transportation only operates daytime!? Come on! Chris, our host, suggested that it could be because they need to operate on the system every single night cause it is so old! Well, in that case do I wonder where all the engineers in London are?
If you happens to be an engineer that would love to help London to update their tube-system, please come over here!
Back on track!
Hello all dear folks!
I am back out on the travelling path but this time with the difference of having my love Richard WITH me!
This far everything is fantastic, we got in to London at 2am and met-up with our interesting host, Chris, and he let us in to his small but cosy flat in central London! Big thanks to him! Right now is he showing Richard all the places/spots/attraction that Richard should experience during his visit in London, including an informative introduction to tube-stations :) = Richard got a confused face on!!
I better help them out, keep in touch!
